You have stories within you- things that are generational, necessary, transformational. Pieces that have the power to cultivate the community and connection you long for, to shift the current paradigm.

In tending the depths, we wander deep, then deeper. We allow the body - head & heart, gut & bone - to show us how and when and what to write. We lean into fragmented phases of life. We redefine what devotion, discipline, and enough look like in this moment. We consider the broader systems that constrict our creative processes and implement tools to aid us in overcoming these constraints.

By dedicating ourselves to our identities outside of motherhood and caregiving, we come to deepen our relationships with poetry, the natural world, intuition and inner authority. Our aim is to support one another- those who perform the essential labor that goes unseen and largely unpaid, yet is the work which shapes society and culture. The world is in desperate need of the essays, poems and stories of those who mother, those who fashion the future through caregiving, those whose smallest tasks have powerful ripple effects.

Snail Mail & Virtual Gatherings

Our collective aim is to cultivate true community, as well as stay grounded in the poem at hand.

Around the first of each month, you’ll receive a digital packet of curated poems and provocations in your inbox, along with a package in the mail containing an additional poem and prompt to aid you in living, writing & revising the poem, prose, essay, etc.

The final Sunday of each month, we will gather virtually to read, write and share poems and other writings, as well as to discuss the topics and themes that are currently stirring our creative processes or infiltrating our art making.
