on mothering, motherhood, identity & lineage

personal essays, poetry, photography and interviews from the collective

There is revolution in mothering. It’s rumblings begin in the cacophonous kitchen, the toy-strewn table, the daily comings and goings, the tenderness with which we care, the consideration we give to generational styles of parenting, the quiet and loud ways we tend to ourselves, the respect we show our young, our elders and the earth. Motherwort is a container that holds these stories that both hold and shape culture.
